Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Unit Director in planning and facilitating programs for teens between the ages of 5 and 11 at our afterschool program locations. Programs and activities will be based on the 5 core areas of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
Duties:
Supervise program areas and classrooms in which your assigned group are participating in activities.
Assist in the making and clean up of the afternoon meal program.
Work as a tutor during the Power Hour homework help sessions each day.
Be able to handle conflicts between members in a respectful and appropriate manner.
Attend all staff meetings and trainings that are provided by the Club.
Know and understand safety policies and procedures.
Support and motivate members to have fun and keep this a safe and positive place for kids.
Other duties as assigned by the Unit Director
Qualifications:
Ability to be punctual and on time for each workday.
Ability to be compassionate and respectful of all members.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Some experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
21 years of age or older is required, with a valid Wisconsin Driver's License |
